Post SuperSkillz 2002 - Shouts and Thanks

What's up everyone? If you're here, most likely you performed, helped out or came out and supported in the audience.

First and foremost, I'd like to clarify that the background music was played on a LAP-TOP COMPUTER LIVE ON STAGE by my good friend Phil, it was NOT a DAT or CD. He was working away at the buttons just as hard as we were playing on Stage. Phil, thank you so much for your vision and your assistance.
Lady Aysa, what can I say. You rock. You're so talented. People, she learned the most of our performance a mere couple hours before the show, NO JOKE. She took one listen and she caught on like paper to glue. Aysa, you are amazing. You're talent is greater than most can comprehend. I thank you for your assistance.

And now a few shouts outs:

All the performers: Mind Body & Soul, REPL@Y, ONS, Airdawg & Ahmed (too funny! you guys were great), 5th Element Crew, Identity Crisis, Turntable Monkz, B.O.S.S., Supernaturals (so good, you guys were crazy! keep it up), Ileet, Daydream (great to finally meet you girls), and Keith.

To all the organizers, respect for going the extra mile towards meeting your criteria for ORIGINALITY and VARIETY. Yes, there's more to asian artists than just KARAOKE cover singers. Thanks for taking a chance on me. I know I could have just sat there and did the usual r&b/ballad thing, but I really wanted to open the door for other artistic risk takers willing to be different. And I thank you for giving me that opportunity. I know everyone wasn't feeling it, and that's cool. So long as the door had been opened for others, that's all I was out to accomplish. =) Special shouts to 'both' Maricar's, Kat, Frances, Zach, Kirk and Jewela.

Aspiring artists: I remember thinking that I'd never do 'Skillz because I was too intimidated by the crowd. And although the past shows were good, it just seemed too much of the same thing. Didn't think there was room for anything else. This year I learned that movement doesn't come without risks. PLease, I urge you to take that risk. If you don't, nobody will. And there are so many breakthrough artists to look up to in the scene. Romeo RJ Candido, Aleli, Kuya, OZ/Graceless...just to name a few. These are some of my roots, find yours and let them elevate you to your own higher levels. peace // jP

The players of MBS (Mind Body & Soul), you are truly some of THE NICEST people I've met. You guys know how much I respect your talents and I look forward to any creative possibilities we may have in the future. Greg, Joshua, Joanna, Liney, Devon and Mike...keep groovin. =)

ONS, "you look so good and...ahhh" Haha! I really wish I would have been there in the audience to see you guys. I can say you guys 'sounded' great from the 'Holocaust' room (haha!). Extended shouts to the Bamboo crew: Wes, EDJ, (Ate) Kim (err..Kat?!). Rob, Wes, Eugene and especially MiQ, you're HOT! haha =P

IDC (Identity Crisis): holee crapz...full stage production, eh?! Great job...Richard, Mark, Harbir, Cyrstal, Ken (the BOWLING MAN!) and Paul aka DAVID USHER (I want your hat! seriously...haha), keep rockin guys.

Kariya...well done.

Last but not least: Franz great meeting you dude..next gig man! My friends, my crew, MY BOYS. Ferg, Glen, Allan, Keith...it was great, the vibe, the sounds, the energy. I love you guys.

Family, friends, and everyone who came out and supported...you are 1/2 the show. Thanks for coming out and showing love. Miraflor, where were you sitting? Leemick, I know you were there...thanks for coming! Marian, xoxo. Jessie, you rock! RJ, thanks for the inspiration...so happy you were there. =)
